As a Board member of the ONE Campaign, David Cameron visited ONE’s London Headquarters on Tuesday to meet with staff, discuss the charity’s campaigns and priorities for 2020, and meet with a group of ONE Youth Ambassadors – part of ONE’s Global Activists programme – a dedicated team of volunteers who help electrify ONE’s campaigns across Europe.
Mr Cameron discussed the importance of advocacy and how to run effective campaigns, as well as the UK’s leadership on international development – and why this matters so much to him and became one of his key priorities while serving as UK Prime Minister.
This year, ONE has more than 320 Youth Ambassadors in seven European countries, representing over 35 different nationalities. ONE Youth Ambassadors engage decision makers, work with the media, and encourage the public to sign ONE petitions through online activity and local events.
